Excellent day hike tour to one of the most picturesque lakes in Tajikistan - Timurdara lake. The name of the lake stems from a river with the same name located in Qaratag valley west of Dushanbe. Qaratag valley and village are famous from the old times for being a recreational place for the governors of Bukharian Emirates. The trail starts from Hakimi village along the Qaratag river. After an hour and half walk along the river the trail goes uphill to a plateau with amazing views of the valley and mountains and continues another hour to the lake.
